Hi, I’m Hali Duncan, and I’m proud to call Kimberley, B.C. home.
I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling from City University of Seattle (2020). Prior to becoming a counsellor, I spent over a decade working as a Kinesiologist in multidisciplinary clinics. This background gave me a deep appreciation for the connection between mind and body — an understanding that continues to shape my counselling practice today.
I genuinely love the work I do and feel honoured to walk alongside clients on their journey toward healing and growth.
My approach is eclectic and individualized. I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities to meet your unique needs and goals. I am naturally grounded in a trauma-informed perspective, recognizing that trauma is an integrated experience involving the mind, body, and environment. Every individual responds differently to difficult or traumatic events, and I believe therapy should reflect and respect that uniqueness.
My goal is to create a safe, collaborative space where you feel supported, understood, and empowered to move forward.

I approach my work from a trauma-informed perspective. Many of the challenges we experience in daily life are connected to how our bodies interpret and respond to our surroundings. Our nervous system is remarkably adaptive and works hard to keep us safe. However, at times it can become overactivated, leading to feelings of panic, anxiety, or distress. In other situations, it may shift into a freeze response, leaving us feeling stuck or unable to react.
Together, we work to better understand these patterns, gently regulate the nervous system, and build a greater sense of safety and resilience.
